ANATAHAN VOLCANO (CAVW#0804-20=)
16.35°N 145.67°E, Summit Elevation 2592 ft (790 m)
Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

Report prepared by the U.S. Geological Survey.

Seismic activity at Anatahan has remained low over the past week and consists primarily of low-amplitude tremor. USGS has received no new reports or observations of ash or gas emissions from the volcano. The volcano appears to have entered a quiescent period but it is still possible for more vigorous activity, including gas and ash emissions, to resume with little warning. USGS continues to monitor the volcano closely.

Although the level of unrest has remained low for several weeks, access to the island may be restricted by the CNMI government. Please contact the Emergency Management Office for the latest information.
